45 year old DJ from Athens, Greece Mihalis Safras is a Greek DJ and producer born in Athens in 1980. From early in his life, he was drawn to dance music and electronic soundscapes, immersing himself in the local club culture of Athens. Over time, he developed a signature style blending tech-house, techno, and progressive elements, balancing dancefloor energy with musical sophistication.

His career began in the late 1990s and early 2000s, when he started producing tracks for local labels and performing in Athens clubs. His musical approach emphasizes groove, rhythmic subtlety and melodic touches, incorporating original motifs and clean production. He co-founded the Material Series label in 2006 with Mark Broom, using it as a creative platform for his own releases and collaborations.

His track “La Samba” achieved notable visibility when it was selected by Apple to use in a campaign promoting the iPhone — a move that expanded his exposure beyond club audiences.

Safras has received multiple award nominations, including at the DJ Awards and IDMA Awards, and his recognition in the tech-house scene is backed by consistent support from influential DJs and labels.
