53 year old Singer from Istanbul, Turkey Özcan Deniz was born on May 19, 1972, in Ankara, Turkey. His family is of Kurdish origin, originally from Ağrı. At the age of five, his family moved to Aydın, where he spent his childhood. From a young age, Özcan exhibited a passion for the arts, particularly music and theater. He began his musical career in 1985 by performing in local orchestras in Aydın. In 1988, he moved to Istanbul and later to Germany in 1989 to pursue his musical aspirations. It was in Munich that he was discovered by music producers, leading to his return to Turkey in 1991.

Özcan's debut album, Yine Ağlattın Beni, was released in 1992, followed by Meleğim in 1993, which significantly boosted his popularity. His subsequent albums, including Beyaz Kelebeğim (1994), Yalan mı? (1997), and Çoban Yıldızı (1998), solidified his status as a prominent figure in the Turkish music industry. In 1994, he ventured into acting with the film Ona Sevdiğimi Söyle, directed by Memduh Ün.

Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, Özcan expanded his career into television, starring in popular Turkish TV series such as Asmalı Konak (2002–2003), Haziran Gecesi (2004–2006), and Kader (2007). He also took on roles in films like Evim Sensin (2012) and Su ve Ateş (2013), showcasing his versatility as an actor.
