39 year old Singer from Skopje, North Macedonia Elena Risteska is a North Macedonian singer and songwriter born in Skopje. She began showing artistic interests early in her life, joining a folk dance and song club, participating in school choirs and drama, and performing on television as a child. Her debut into the professional music world came in 2002 when she won the “Play – Search for a Star” talent show, which led to her first hit single “Ona Drugoto” (“The Other Thing”) and her debut album Den i Nok.

Her style blends pop, R&B and hip hop, often incorporating influences of Balkan folk rhythms and modern production. Over the years she has released several albums, including 192 and Milioner, and thousands of fans in North Macedonia and across the Balkans have followed her career. Her 2006 Eurovision entry “Ninanajna” secured 12th place, which was for a long time the highest the country had achieved in the competition.

Elena is also a lyricist and occasional songwriter for other artists. She has performed at many regional music festivals in addition to concerts, TV appearances, and participated in shows such as the Serbian version of Your Face Sounds Familiar. Her participation in such platforms has showcased her vocal range and stage presence.
