43 year old Singer from Athens, Greece Helena Paparizou is a Greek-Swedish singer, songwriter, and television personality, born on January 31, 1982, in Borås, Sweden. Raised in Gothenburg, she is the youngest child of Greek immigrant parents, Georgios and Efrosini Paparizou. Her musical journey began in 1999 when she formed the duo Antique with Nikos Panagiotidis. The group gained prominence in the early 2000s, representing Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song "(I Would) Die for You," finishing in third place.

In 2004, Paparizou launched her solo career with the album Protereotita, which achieved significant success in Greece and Sweden. Her breakthrough came in 2005 when she won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "My Number One," marking Greece's first victory in the competition.
