45 year old Singer from Tessenderlo, Belgium Kate Ryan is a Belgian singer and songwriter who began her musical career in 2001 with her debut single "Scream for More".
She grew up in the small village of Tessenderlo - born into a musical family, she began playing the piano and guitar at the age of eight, receiving singing and piano lessons from her aunt, a teacher at a conservatory.
As a teenager, she played in bars and cafes, and at 16 she became part of the pop group Melt — this experience helped her gain stage experience.

Her big breakthrough came in 2002, when she conquered European clubs and radio with a cover of Mylène Farmer's "Désenchantée" - the song became a hit and established her as a star in the dance-pop / euro-dance genre.
Her first album Different (2002) sold over 250,000 copies and received gold and platinum status in several European countries.
